    How is Calzaghe great?

    Can one base a claim to all-time greatness on a ho-hum decision over a 43-year-old Bernard Hopkins and a convincing win over Mikkel Kessler, who's claim to fame is losing to Calzaghe? Probably not.

          he is a sure fire HoF

          He is Not in the top 10 fighters of his generation

          he is Not ATG.

          I fail to see how being in the 11-20 bracket of your generation and 101-200 bracket All time should somehow make you ****, sorry don't get it.

                      He has 20 defences at SM was champion for 11 years. beat Hopkins (who is great) and Kessler (who is potentially great) as defining fightsbeating a past prime jones notwithstanding. but yes of course he's great!!!

                          Bull****, Jones and Toney were better, Eubank and Benn were as good or better all things equal. Calzaghe is 46-0 but take all the absolute shiyt bums off his record and he's like 5-0 and all 5 of those guys were has beens or never were's...

                              Calzaghe isn't a great fighter. Just because you are undefeated doesn't mean you are great. He is good but not great. Great fighters go above and beyond and fight the best fighters. Joe didn't fight anyone great till he matched up with a 43 year old and a 40 year old. Far from great.

                                  Calzaghe is the number 1 super middleweight of all time. It's not just his fault that he didn't get to fight prime Roy or Bhop.
