Originally posted by BennyST View PostWell, admittedly, while he wasn't at his peak years he was still good enough to be the WBC champ, have been on a long win streak and had defeated guys such as the very great, undefeated Wayne McCullough and also Hector Sanchez, the fine fighter that had beaten guys like Tracy Patterson and Julio Gervacio.
So yes, it was still a brilliant win and definitely one of his best. It would be one of anyone's best wins. Zaragoza was an amazing fighter even at that age as shown by who he was still beating. Go watch the fight and you'll see how good he still was.Originally posted by BennyST View PostOh really? Morales, sure and a great win it was. How much credit does D. Diaz get for beating him though or Zahir Raheem? Funny how that works eh?
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that he wasn't the first person to KO Oscar. One; because he didn't even KO him and two; because Hopkins had actually KO'd him already. He just retired against Pac. RTD 9, not KO 9. Big difference.

The great debate
I dont like these types of lists as its impossible to compare fighters such as pep and tyson/mayweather etc due to the lack of footage for the previous eras fighters..better to list the best fighters from each era...
How can Pacman be number 20 ahead of roy jones, marciano, mayweather, mike tyson(84), george formeman(64), frazier...
How can ali be number 2 but frazier who beat him once is way down at 61 ...doesn make sense..
Best Heavyweights witnessed in my lifetime to present:
Ali....Best of his era
Marciano(50's)
Foreman
Tyson(80's)
Holmes
Frazier
Lewis (late90's-present)
160-200lbs
Robinson(obviously best of his era), Jones 90's, Hagler, Hopkins, Hearns, Lamotta, Holyfield,
0-160lbs
Mayweather (2000-present), Leonard(not called sugar for nothin), Duran, Mosley, delahoya, morales, barrera, Pacman, Whitaker..
iv probaBly left out a few..
200lbs+ Ali
175-200lb Jones
160-175lbs Robinson
147-160lbs Leonard
130-147lbs Mayweather Jnr
0-130lbs Undecided..could be any one of Morales, Barrera, Pacman
If Pacman beats hatton and then beats marquez or another top fighter ill giv him this spot then.
AND REMEMBER...THIS IS ONLY WHO I HAVE WINESSED IN MY LIFETIME...NOT GOIN TO COMMENT ON FIGHTERS I HAVENT SEEN SUFFICIENT FOOTAGE OF JUST BECAUSE SUM JOURNALIST SAID THEY WERE GOOD.
FEEL FREE TO CRITICISE IF U BELIEVE THE LIST TO BE FLAWED
