Boxing is getting ****ty nowadays with all those "fight fixing" issues.

Maybe Nolasco pussied out because he was planning to do a plaster and when Marga got caught, he knew what was coming.

My motivation for running this story wasn't necessarily believing that an attempted fix was in. If it's bull****, then guys like Nolasco and Sergio "Rey Bautista" Medina need to be flushed out of the sport for good. The stories shouldn't be dismissed and swept under the rug for the sake of making the sport look good; it needs to be put out there, even if only to force fighters to be held more accountable for the comments they make.

Once upon a time, the excuse was that a fighter was robbed every time he lost overseas. The fix was in, he was drugged, the hotel accommodations were substandard, they didn't let him sleep... notice those issues go away now that there is greater worldwide access to these events.

I don't know what to believe with this story. I have my su****ions as to why the original fight didn't happen, but will wait for callbacks from Barrera and Nolasco's people before commenting further.

As hard as this story is to hear (MAB is my all time favorite fighter) thanks for writing the story and your explanation above makes so much sense. When you receive the callbacks, will you write another article or post here?
