What takes so long to determine if its plaster or not? Its simple. If by the end of that night the gauze was rock hard, then its plaster! WTF???

how long does it take to determine if something illegal or not was in the wrap this reeks of political BS..ala Goldenboy

If they finally do decide it was something illegal and deadly then I think the ban should be placed maybe but not for life, I mean seriously Zab could have killed Nady with that stool and he wasnt banned for life.

How do you think Mexicans will react?
Actually most Mexicans boxing fans agree to ban him for life if it's true.

They look to be waiting till feb 10. I still believe theres was something in the handwraps. What they'll be trying to figure out is if it was intentional or not. So if Maragrito's team comes with a good enough excuse they'll be left off the hook. But there will always be that doubt.

How can u UNINTENTIONALLY add plaster to someones wraps??? If its indeed plaster, then it was intentional.

If he had plaster wraps that **** was intentional.
What are they going to say I accidentally slipped and my wraps fell in some plaster.

Zab was actually lucky he wasn't banned for life, but fighters have done worse things than what Zab did. Using plaster of Paris is like breaking boxing's cardinal sin. Throwing a temper tantrum aimed the ref after a stoppage is immature, but it actually happens a lot.

You miss the point. Nady deserved to be killed with that stool.

Also, since I didn't answer this part last time, what a lot of people are missing out on here is that the California State Athletic Board is a small department within the California state government that probably gives two ****s about boxing.

This is just another thing that popped onto their plate in late January that they have to take care of. So, they're going to get to it when they get to it and not a moment sooner, which is another reason why we need to have a national boxing commission. We need people regulating the sport who actually place priority on the sport.
