Kball c'mon now Gomez can't punch. Angulo's gonna eat him for dinner if it happens.

How about Angulo and the winner of Julio/Kirkland?

Agree 100%. I'm not much of a Mayorga fan, but he'd be a much more serious test than Alfonso Gomez. Ishe Smith would be a more competitive sub than Gomez.

            LOL

I was wondering the same thing. Wasn't sure if it was the same Gómez...now that I know it is, in addition to the fact that Mayorga dropped out at last minute's notice...Gómez is gonna' get eatin' alive.

I like Gomez, and I dont like this fight for him at all, Angulo is too big and powerful, Gomez wont likely have anything to keep him off.
I was looking forward to the Mayorga fight, really hope they reschedule it.

Mayorga was going to be the star that night, regardless of whether he won or lost. It's a shame that he pulled out, though. He is always fun to watch.

Got to say I'm disappointed. I have nothing against Gomez except that I don't think he's on par with Richard Gutierrez or Andrey Tsurkan. I guess he's about as good as could be expected on such short notice, but I'm a lot less excited about the Angulo fight now.

Maybe if it's Julio, but I doubt Kirkland-Angulo happens anytime soon after what we saw in the way Kirkland split from Gary Shaw.
