I agree with some of this and disagree with others. Interesting just the same.My dad believes the following:
Julio Cesar Chavez is the best fighter he ever saw.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a joke.
Miguel Cotto and Israel Vazquez are his current favorite fighters
JMM beat Pacquiao twice
Roy Jones Jr. was a great fighter, possibly his second favorite.
Joe Calzaghe is a good champion.
Wladimir Klitschko is the worst HW champion he ever saw.
Bernard Hopkins earned my dad's respect when he beat Tito and Pavlik, one of the greatest champions of his era.
Tito is probably the best Puerto Rican fighter, next to Bazooka
Oscar is a hype-job, he thought he lost to Ike and Pernell, and a focused, in his prime Chavez would tear his ass up.
Fighters were tougher back then.
Antonio Margarito, God bless his soul, he sucks but is the toughest SOB since Chavez.
Roberto Duran would whoop Mayweather's ass
Pipino Cuevas would KO Mayweather
Azumah Nelson is very underrated
He is a huge Ray Leonard fan, he can also kick Floyd's ass
One day i told him how James Toney is my favorite fighter and how he called out Chuck Liddell, he said "....Lights Out? That guy is an animal he will eat him up, why do you think no one fights him?"
The greatest fighters he ever saw:
1. JCC
2. Roy Jones
3. Salvador Sanchez
4. Alexis Arguello
5. Roberto Duran
6. Ray Leonard
7. Marvin Hagler
also holds in high regards the following:
Mike Tyson, Marco Antonio Barrera, Evander Holyfield, Tommy Hearns, Manny Pacquiao, Ruben Olivares, Danny Lopez, Carlos Zarate, Daniel ZaragozaComment

Prior to Cotto/Margarito i asked him who he was going for, he said
"Well, Cotto is the man right now in the whole sport, but i am going for Margarito on this one".Comment
