that retired fighter you speak of had great reflex and handspeed which allowed him to counter thru natural motion


with JMM, he didnt have as great a handspeed and reflex but what he did better was set-up counters...like perfectly placed traps where he allowed his opponent to open up knowing that he would land the cleaner blows in the exchange...that is a sign of a brilliant boxing mind at work

Ill watch some more of his fights before I elaborate and try and see what you are describing.

If you seriously dont know why JMM is on the P4P list, and think campbell should be on there...then i dont even know what to say. Campbell is a good fighter but just because he is black, doesent mean he should be on there buddy. Thats like me sayn Felix Sturm should be on the list...and he has a more impressive resume than campbell.

go practically unnoticed in a fight.

joe cortez does a few good things,

sooo...your seriously going to tell me that Marquez should be thankful that Cortez didnt stop the fight because if it was any other ref...the fight would have been called? an hbo fight with thousands of fans in attendance? a fight where marquez immediately got up and traded hard punches with the guy that knocked him down? ive seen many fights being stopped after 2 kd's with less damage as well but they are no where near the caliber of marquez-pac fights. the reason the refs stop it is because they knoe the bum fighters are there to make the opposing fighter look good.

he was up at 9 (Cortez's count) in KD #3.

pause it when he went down and look at the clock. then forward it to 10 seconds after. You'd be surprised.

Murad Muhammad is a crook but he can count.



On Topic : I think Cortez is a great ref in his prime. He's nearing retirement now.

and yea, he lost to chris john....so there!

Whereas Pac has become number one on beating a really old, shot Oscar, losing to a really shot, old Morales, being knocked out cold twice by nobodies and getting a BS decision against Marquez. Apart from that he beat Barrera.

If you can't see what Marquez has done then I can't see what Pac has done.
