Agree that Shane was stylistically just a horrendous matchup for Margarito.
I've seen bits of talk here about Tony being off his game, not correctly prepared mentally, even weight drained....all supposition. What we know is that Margarito comes with one intention everytime, which he tried to follow through on in the fight, and a past-prime Shane beat the brakes off him in ridiculous fashion...he didn't just inch over the line, he blew Tony out the water. So we can only assume Margarito was tailor-made for a versatile boxer-puncher with the ringskills of a Shane Mosley all along.
Hopefully...for the sake of both the boxer and the sport...the handwrap controversy will prove to have been blown way out of proportion. And then we can see what Margarito's powers of recovery are after this first (devastating) KO loss of his career.
