Rank Oscar De La Hoya's top 10 wins in order

People act like The Golden Boy has never beaten anyone of note, but he has some DAMN good names on his resume.

    1. Pernell Whitaker
    2. Fernando Vargas
    3. Ike Quartey
    4. Julio Cesar Chavez I
    5. Genaro Hernandez
    6. Miguel Angel Gonzalez
    7. Julio Cesar Chavez II
    8. Hector Camacho
    9. Jesse James Leija
    10. Felix Sturm

Terrible list, I know... I am not that great on history, but... this exercise is to remind people of all the great people he beat, rather than just focusing on all of the people that he lost to.

Your list was pretty good i thought, i agreed on alot of it. A few question's though, does the way he won these fights make a difference how we rate them ? and are we rating these wins from what the opponents achieved overall in the career ? or how they were rated at that time ?

I would've put the Magorga fight somewhere between 7-10, that fight put him back in the map. Honorable mention to the Oba Carr fight.

I think it should be how good they were at the time, taking into account how good they were for their whole career... for instance, the Wright win for Vargas should be counted for a lot, because Wright was very good, even though no one knew it at the time.

I don't know anything about people like Molina, Carr, etc., so that's why they didn't make my list. I'm glad to hear I got the majority of it right.

Quartey over Vargas is pretty bold, considering it's disputed and Vargas holds a very clear win over Quartey.

Mayorga is just not very good though... he's clearly not top 10 I don't think.

I still don't know anything about Oba Carr, other than he was very slick, and never won a world title.

                  Basically.

                  His best win was Quartey/Vargas.
