Reading what Ricky said made me go.. W.w.w.wh.whaaat?

Does he know why Pacquiao is what Pacquiao is today? SACRIFICES!
I expected Ricky Hatton to be nothing but professional, I thought he'd like to be the world's #1 P4P fighter? and now he's already complaining.

Hey Mr. Ricky Hatton, boxing fans are expecting a good fight, Mayweather Sr. thinks that you need to have a long training to be able to stand against Pacquiao. So do it. We don't want to see another lop-sided fight.

Well, there is a pretty big difference between fighting a guy that hadn't been active at all and was an old, injury-ridden thirty five than fighting a young, motivated, prime champ that has been very active.

Not only that, but Tszyu and Pac are very different fighters. As anyone that has watched boxing for a while will know, it really is styles that make fights. Hatton might have been able to swarm over a great fighter with old legs that didn't move as much but then facing a young, fast guy that still has his legs is a completely different fight.

Nonetheless, it is quite simple. If he is not willing to make the necessary sacrifices then he does not deserve to win and he won't. When two elite guys come together it comes down to which guy did the better work in camp. It sounds to me as if it's not going to be Hatton's greatest camp.

Funnily enough, speaking of Tszyu, I often have had the impression that the Tszyu win was Hatton's pinnacle and he will never top that, as much in his own mind as in terms of legacy, and that making the necessary sacrifices isn't as important now. It's probably hard for him to get as motivated like he was able to without having to try for the Tszyu fight. Once the biggest fight in a career has been reached and won then there is nothing left for them to truly strive for, maybe that was Hatton's peak fight.

All he has to do is look at Delahoya who brought his family in the middle of camp and Roy Jones Jr who cut camp to go home. Their results werent that great. Very few fighters have the discipline to do what Joe Calzahge does and I dont think Hatton is one of them. He needs to listen to Floyd.
That's a good point but I'm kinda hoping that Hatton is going to beat Pacman.

It won't matter, He will get clowed either way, If Hatton does make it till the final bell, he should give himself a nice pat on the back and walk out with his head up high.

You want to be the best, your fighting the #1 P4P in the world - your trainer has incredibly improved your boxing, but yet you can't give up eight weeks to have the best chance to beat the number 1 P4P? seriously, if he doesn't take camp seriously he has little chance.

what a numb-nut. in about 4 years time, it won't make a difference in his life whether he went to vegas 8 weeks prior to the pac fight or not. he'll have the rest of his life to spend with his gf and kid and if he needs *****, there is plenty for him in vegas.

you train 8 weeks 2-3 times a year to go to work on one day for 48minutes and earn multple millions of dollars??? I'd say that's a sweet job worth the minor sacrifice... go ask your girl friend Ricky,.. I'll bet she drives you to the airport 9 weeks in advance.

I truly hope Hatton makes a fight of it and I don't think the Pacman will not dominate Hatton as he did Oscar, who did nothing more then his best impression of an over matched sparing partner. With that said I think the only thing Ricky should worry about altering his state of mind is the Pacman's fists.

i dont understand this dude, he's been blabbering about how he will beat the PACMAN, the fight will not go 12 rounds and he will be victorious? and yet he is complaining about an 8 week training camp? wtf! attitudes like those are the perfect formula for BUMS and OVERHYPED fighters. every boxer that has been pound for pound #1 has made the same path to greatness which is through perseverance, hardwork and sacrifice. if you got the talent then you could bypass some of these criteria and slack a bit but in the end it will catch up with you. ricky you dont have the talent of a roy jones so shut the **** up and train your ass if you want to beat the PACMAN.

Considering the eight digit figure paycheck for this fight I bet she would fly his ass herself.
