  • Ricky Hatton Conflicted About Eight Week Vegas Camp

Ricky Hatton is a bit conflicted about his trainer's request for an eight week training camp in Las Vegas. Floyd Mayweather Sr. wants Hatton to arrive in Las Vegas about eight weeks before his May 2 mega-bout with Manny Pacquiao, which takes place at the MGM Grand. [details]

Hatton seems to have issues with sacrifice. I bet some other boxers read what he says about not being able to leave home and scratch their heads.

If you want to beat the P4P champ, it's going to take some serious sacrifice!

Are you serious? If this is true all I have to say is SUCK IT UP, you big pu$$Y. For heaven sakes this is not a rematch with Paulie, your fighting Pacquiao. Goes to show that Hattons other agendas seem to be more important. When your a fighter you make SACRIFICES in and out of the ring.

And he wants a rematch with Mayweather, with what, one week of training cause he trained for that already.

Hatton has a point... why sacrifice his family if he can do what he will do in las vegas... Better stay home which is more convenient for him... It will make him prepare better with his family...

He needs it for this type of fight. Mayweather Sr knows whats best for a fighter...I recommend Ricky to follow his advice...

Pacman leaves his kids and acts like his wife isn't even there and Hatton is worried about his soccer team?

"Hatton feels the time away from his family, son, girlfriend and soccer team - could alter his state of mind for the Pacquiao encounter."

haha what an embarrassment to boxing.....his trainer knows whats best

I would disagree. It would be better for him to train in the U.S. to adjust to the time zone, altitude, etc. Yes, that sucks that he's going to miss his family but isnt that what all fighters do, make that sacrifice. And this whole missing his football, dude Boxing should be your #1 sport especially if your trying to claim yourself as a P4P best and face the P4P best.

After the previous article on how Pac promises to sacrifice himself 110% for his fight and now Hatton hoping to workout some special work schedule to accomodate his other needs, my opinion on this fight is leaning toward Pacquiao.

Work ethic and conditioning is crucial in a fight like this.
