I honestly dont think that Barrera is completely shot like some of you guys make him out to be. His last two fights with elite opponents went the distance. Sure he may not be the Barrera of old, but any version of Barrera is dangerous especially to a green prospect in Khan. Barrera is fighting bums to get some fighting time before he steps it up again. He should beat Khan.

In the rematch, Barrera boxed a much better plan early on by going to the body and using the jab. Only problem was that down the stretch, Jones just seemed to want it more. I remember Jones cracked him with a right hand and then Jones waved it at him as if to taunt him and remind him of what happened in the first fight. Jones fought a very gutsy rematch.

I don't agree with Asian Sensation on this particular fight but that certainly doesn't mean he doesn't know ****. He has brought a ton of insight on this board, insiders info and I always look forward to reading his thoughts on upcoming fights.
No where does it say a boxing expert or writer has to be 100% correct all of the time. If that were true there wouldn't be a single boxing expert left in the business.
And who knows, he may end up right and Khan wins this. I mean it seems crazy to me, but I also thought it would be impossible for shane mosley to knock margarito the **** out, or hopkins to box a perfect shutout against pavlik and pacquiao to make de la hoya quit on his stool.
MAB is old, so it's not like predicting Jennings to KO cotto or some **** like that.

The reason I am picking Amir Khan is because of how boxing works. Khan is the hometown guy, he is the attraction on his promoter's card. They aren't putting Khan in there to get knocked out.
Khan's people obviously know what Barrera brings to the table and at 35 I don't think he'll bring anything new to the table that we haven't seen from him.
With Prescott, he was a more unknown entity and everyone admitted that they just completely screwed up with making that match.
Barrera just doesn't seem to be as hungry to win as he used to be.
Wasn't I the guy that predicted that Nate Campbell would completely dominate Juan Diaz and that Shaun George was too much for Chris Byrd? I remember getting a lot of hate before that and a lot of :blow: afterwards.
