I just think Khan is too fast for Barrera. Barrera has never been known as a one punch guy, plus he's not at his natural weight. Khan is a very big lightweight and his only loss was against a dynamite puncher. I think Warren is making a very smart move with this matchup.
Well, I think you don't know ****. jk.
First Of All
You DON'T have to have one punch KO power to hurt Khan. He makes JMM's chin look good.
Second
Khan is only about 5'9". That's only an inch taller than Morales. Don't believe everything Boxrec tells you.
Third
Prescott isn't Mike Tyson. He couldn't even KO a bum that was 8-7-1.
Fourth
Khan has never out boxed anybody. That's anywhere near Barrera's level.
Barrera couldn't even get inside on a weak ass chinned Junior Jones and KO him. Khan is to fast for Barrera at this stage and Khan is pretty big. He's around 5 10, not 5'9.
I'm not ruling out a Barrera KO, but I think he's to past his prime to have him be able to get inside.

Khan will put himself inside once he gets confident or if he gets hurt.
I'd be really impressed if Khan showed the maturity just to box at mid and long range.

The Barrera that faced Junior Jones WAS one dimensional. Case Closed.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you very much for singling me out and creating a thread with me in the title. It makes me feel special and feeds into my feelings of grandeur.
1) You don't have to be Mike Tyson to hurt Khan, but you do have to show some signs that you want to win. I didn't see that in Barrera against Pacquiao in the rematch, though Khan is no Pacquiao. I just think that Khan's speed and power will be a little more than Barrera can handle at this stage, especially if Khan has improved his discipline as much as I've been reading.
2) Khan is still a much bigger fighter naturally than is Barrera. Height isn't the whole story, Khan is just a physically bigger guy.
3) Prescott is a very big puncher. By you saying that he isn't a big puncher because of his inability to KO a guy in a fight that you didn't see is just foolish. For all you know, the other guy was in complete survival mode and fought a negative fight in which Prescott couldn't find the openings. His 20-0 (18 KO) suggests that he is a lights out puncher.
4) Khan has never outboxed anybody on his level, true. Then again, Hatton never beat anybody on Tszyu's level, until he knocked him out. Same with Pacquiao, he had never beaten anyone on Barrera's level until he stopped him.
5) Saying that Marquez has a bad chin is foolish since he has only been dropped by good punchers and never knocked out. I think you have to have a very good chin to go 24 rounds with Pacquiao en route to close decisions. I know Barrera couldn't.
I'd like to see Barrera win because I always go for the underdog but I doubt it.
