I don't know, this fight might be a little tougher than you think. Pacquiao no doubt is a huge favorite in everyone's minds and for good cause but Hatton is no softy. He can make the fight tough with his physicality and bull Pacquiao around.

I think it's much less likely than it was in previous years because Pacquiao learned that you go side to side instead of back and forth. If Pacquiao lets Hatton hit his rib cage without countering back, he's in trouble.

If Pacquiao counters back, he's going to tear Hatton's face to ribbons. But with the right attack plan, Hatton can win. I just don't think he has enough confidence in his surprisingly effective jab.

he has osteoperosis, that's why he's resorted to loading his gloves with cement and razor blades

That's cool with me then, as long as Calzaghe can now load his gloves with plaster.

Malignaggi would need knuckle dusters though.

It just goes to show that unless you've been in there with a guy, you don't know how hard a guy hits. I was actually surprised because I respect Margarito's power, unless he has loaded wraps which is a judgment I'm waiting to hear from the investigation.

Still, holy crap, a former flyweight champion who hits harder than cruiserweights. Unheard of.

If Calzaghe loaded his wraps he'd win wider decisions.

if calzaghe had loaded wraps he'd be murdering people left and right

I agree, it's a shame that Malignaggi's hands just can't withstand the force of punching somebody with 10 oz gloves on. Malignaggi is the classic case of a gun-shy fighter. If he had enough power to keep people off of him, he might still be undefeated.

Personally, I think Malignaggi has gotten as far as he could with his hands being as brittle as they are. I wouldn't want to see him get beat up in this sport. Maybe a few farewell fights should be in order, or if he'd be content keeping it on the local scene in NY, that'd be much sounder.

I hope your right, a truly competitve superfight would be great for boxing. It'd also put a further feather in cap of both fighters (specifically Hatton)

Hatton has looked bad against a few good Southpaws he's faced. Eamon Magee, dropped him and was really turning up the heat against Hatton in the early rounds, but kind of shot his bolt. Collazo also done very well against Hatton and if he could punch a fraction harder that fight would have read TKO12, regardless of the decision.

I thought Hatton's jab won him the fight against Malignaggi, but like you say. Old habits die hard: Hatton's jab will be back at home shut away in a wardrobe against Pacman - because he won't have the natural inclination to use it against a guy who pranging him with snappy punches. The red-mist will come down as it always does with Hatton and I see him getting smashed. I hope not though. I don't really like Hatton that much but we need a competive superfight.
