All of these fighters i believe were either world title holders or at least challenged for a world title. With the execption to Prescott and Perez who are prospects, and Gutierrez who is a strong gate keeper at the moment.

Nah. I dont think a boxing power. But they are producing some solid fighters. They will be kind of like Panama!!!!!!!!!

They do have a lot of fighters but I wouldn't consider them a boxing power or a future power. It seems like all those guys are solid fighters but they all have to rely on their power(which all of them seem powerful). Outside of power they bring very little boxing skill to the ring and that is why most of them have fallen flat on their face. Torres has been one of the lone exceptions.

I dont know about a boxing power, but they do produce powerful boxers. It seems every time I see a Colombian fighter they are calling them a KO artist.

Colombia has carved out an interesting little niche in producing power punchers. The nation could really use an amateur program though. Imagine if these guys had some basic skills to go with their pop.

With that kind of thinking why can't they be a super power in the future? It's only a matter of time.

I agree, there are a lot of tough, big punching Colombians coming up but few of them can compete skill-wise with the best. Torres is a very good puncher, but even he has had trouble dealing with the skill of the best. I hope he can recover from that devastating KO against Holt, that was really the kind of knockout that few recover from. He was out, like unconscious.

I cant remembe clearly but i think COlombia had some nice amateurs in the olympics. I think if they develop their amateur program more we will see more boxers who arent so one dimentionsal
