the fight may happen. between mosley and pacquiao, ugly boy floyd will choose the least dangerous opponent and that is mosley considering his age.

ugly boy floyd will not dare risk his 0 record in pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather Jr should use his jab more like he did at the lower weightclasses, when he used it against Ricky Hatton it was a great jab and very effective.

Plus Shane Mosley has always struggled against a fighter with a good jab, i also think Floyd Mayweather Jr is too good of an all round fighter. Where as Shane Mosley although a great fighter, can't adapt aswell as Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Which is a big difference take the Jose Luis Castillo fights for example, in the first fight he was able to swap to a boxer/brawler effectively. He was also able to solve the puzzle in the rematch.

Also the Jesus Chavez/Zab Judah fights are very good example's aswell, of how great Floyd Mayweather Jr is at adapting, where as Shane Mosley never solved the puzzle's against Winky Wright/Vernon Forrest.

Against Winky Wright in both fights he got his head jabbed off, and was never able to adapt in either fight. And against Vernon Forrest even though he did better in the very sloppy rematch.

Again the same problems that he had in there 1st meeting he had again in there 2nd meeting clinching/jab/right hands/height. And again he never solved the puzzle.

Thats what seperates Floyd Mayweather Jr and Shane Mosley, and thats exactly why i think Floyd Mayweather Jr wins. I agree i would love to see it, its one of the best match ups to be made in boxing. But my money's on Floyd Mayweather Jr for sure.

also, how do you know where he feels more comfortable? as far as he states, he can fight comfortably at WW, JMW & MW all at the same time. he's constantly said, wherever the big fight is, he'll fight at that weight....the **** is wrong wit u?

        news flash***********

he's already moved down after fighting at middleweight. matter fact he fought at middle in september, then moved down to jmw in november, AND stopped a guy that hadn't been stopped before.......wtf is up w/ all the fear about PW fighting at WW?

I got that nonsense from Paul Williams himself i believe he said that in a article once ? i don't know that he feels more comfortable its just my opinion. He has to drain himself constantly, and now that he has moved up as far as Middleweight.

Moving back down to Welterweight would kill him and make him weak, im not saying he shouldn't fight at Welterweight i just think it would be a bad idea. I think he should concentrate on the higher weightclasses.

He seems strong with the extra weight and theres plenty of good match ups for him, at Jr Middleweight/Middleweight.

SSM vs Cotto, SSM vs. PBF, and SSM vs. Pac are good fights. Sugar should not waste his time with Hatton at 147. Hatton is a beast at 140, but at 147 is a puny challenge. Hatton should not return to WW div, not even to fight Collazo again...

Solid, solid post. It's a shame that Floyd may never return and that even if he did, he's wasted two years, perhaps his final prime years. But prime for prime, Mayweather's yardstick is the difference. And if Shane pitty-pats with his own jab (something he tends to do at times) he'd be countered with the fastest lefts and rights he's ever seen. Pound for pound and prime for prime, I'd say Floyd via decision.

I'd also add that Floyd's performance in the first Castillo fight was very underrated. He boxed well early then Castillo came on strong from the middle to late rounds but I thought Floyd performed very well in the 11th and 12th. Took some shots but gave quite a few standing in the trenches with Castillo. Then gave him an immediate rematch four months later.

in all honesty i'm having second thoughts about pac ****ing it up with sugar shane. it's no secret that pac's best weapon is his speed. sure, he soaked up punishment from hard hitters like morales but when was that? at super featherweight? pac's chin is still untested at the heavier weights that he's campaigning in right now. diaz didn't get to hit him at lightweight and neither did ODLH at welterweight. SSM though is another thing, given his advance age, i would like to believe that he still has enough speed left in him to hit pac over and over again. if this fight pushes through though and ssm wins, i won't be suprised. but if pac scores a win over SSM then freddie pulled out another rabbit on us again. i just hope that "age" excuse won't be waved in front of us fans if it happens.
