Where's your evidence? He looked very impressive in his last Welterweight fight.

I was making the point that height has absolutely nothing to do with what weight someone fights at. The only thing that determines whether someone is "too big" for a weight is his weight.

He had a hall of fame career at Welterweight before he moved up. And he moved up and down between middleweight and light-heavy without showing ill effects.

You don't know that, and he should be given the chance to prove people wrong. He's always been a physical freak, even more than Hearns was. If Mosley or the other top Welters were confident of beating him, they'd fight him.

Which is a big difference take the Jose Luis Castillo fights for example, in the first fight he was able to swap to a boxer/brawler effectively. He was also able to solve the puzzle in the rematch.

Also the Jesus Chavez/Zab Judah fights are very good example's aswell, of how great Floyd Mayweather Jr is at adapting, where as Shane Mosley never solved the puzzle's against Winky Wright/Vernon Forrest.

Against Winky Wright in both fights he got his head jabbed off, and was never able to adapt in either fight. And against Vernon Forrest even though he did better in the very sloppy rematch.

Again the same problems that he had in there 1st meeting he had again in there 2nd meeting clinching/jab/right hands/height. And again he never solved the puzzle.

Thats what seperates Floyd Mayweather Jr and Shane Mosley, and thats exactly why i think Floyd Mayweather Jr wins. I agree i would love to see it, its one of the best match ups to be made in boxing. But my money's on Floyd Mayweather Jr for sure.
All he said is that he wanted to see this fight. Then you go into your BS about why Mayweather will beat SSM and so there for the fight should'nt happen. Thats why they make fights to see who's better.

I can't see anything in Burning Desire's post that says therefore the fight shouldn't happen - where did you get that from?

Hahaha, much respect to Mosley, he is a man, he is calling out there the best fighters to prove everyone he is the best that stands. He might not get a match with Mayweather because he is retired (scared) and with the Pacquiao we will have to wait to see who actually wins over Pacquiao or Hatton, if Hatton wins then he will be it, BUT Hatton really wants Mayweather so that might be a bit of a problem itself. Cotto on the other hand, i believe he has no problem fighting anybody they bring on the table, its not up to him as he said before, its his Camp, whoever they choose, and of course he already had beat Mosley and to prove he can be the champ again he will take that fight, BUT... he is asking for the re-match too soon, because Cotto still has to deal with Jennings on February 21st PLUS they already had a scheduled RE-MATCH with Margarito, but since Margarito is suspended and might be for a long time, Berto stepped in and asked for a replacement if Margarito is not present. Most likely after those 2 already scheduled fights Mosley will have another crack at Cotto again to go head and prove he really is the Welterweight Champ, but we cannot look or get past Scheduled Matches because that will ruin up the sport and concentration. Much props to Mosley, he really is a champ, he deserves a Crown especially he made Margarito his B*tch.

He's much more comfortable at the higher weightclasses, and how can you compare that to Mike Tyson ? Mike Tyson was just a naturally massive guy, as a teenager he was nearing 200 pounds i know height doesn't always have anything to do with weight.

And in my post i didn't say that did i ? but come on he's 6 foot 2 for crying out loud, how many fighters have you known stay at Welterweight being that height ? i can only think of Mark Breland and he had no legs at that weightclass, he went to the canvas about 12 times against Marlon Starling in there 1st fight.

Thomas Hearns moved up in weight and was even as high as a Cruiserweight at one point. Paul Williams has out grown the division, he needs to focus on the higher weightclasses.

If he moves back down again after fighting as high as a Middleweight, he will seriously drain himself and make himself weak. He's looks just fine at Middleweight and i would love to see Paul Williams vs Kelly Pavlik/Arthur Abraham ETC.

PW moved up in weight b/c he could not get big fights at WW.....it had nothing to do with him "draining himself." where did u get that nonsense?

also, how do you know where he feels more comfortable? as far as he states, he can fight comfortably at WW, JMW & MW all at the same time. he's constantly said, wherever the big fight is, he'll fight at that weight....the **** is wrong wit u?

                news flash***********

he's already moved down after fighting at middleweight. matter fact he fought at middle in september, then moved down to jmw in november, AND stopped a guy that hadn't been stopped before.......wtf is up w/ all the fear about PW fighting at WW?

But Shane does need the bigger fights to make back much of what by law he must surrender.

                  He deserves it.
