Was Paul Williams Fans Making Excuses When He Lost?

Im not a die hard fan of P Will I do watch him though, but I was wondering if his fans were making excuses when he lost like did they say he had an off night or make some excuse. He came back and won the rematch but were their any excuses from fans for the first fight with Quintana?

PW hardly had any fans back then and still don't. Lot of people jumped the bandwagon when Margarito beat Cotto.

no because they disappeared kind of like you did when Hopkins lost to Calzaghe? Remember that? Remember your "Lets pray for Joe Calzaghe" thread before the fight? Then complete silence from you for like a month. anyway, can't make excuses when you stop posting.

        Williams was weight drained.
Williams lost the fight on purpose

I've always been a P-Will fan. I don't understand what happened during the Quintana fight. I guess if there was ever anything you could point to and say a guy had a bad night, that was it, considering he won the rematch in one round. At the time of the loss, I was very disappointed and felt like I'd been led on. I thought my theory that he could beat Mayweather was completely out the window. Now, I definitely don't think he would beat Floyd, but I do think P-Will is the best 147lber in the world.

He also had a pretty long layoff. His win over Margarito was in July and his loss to Quintana was February, a month longer than Margarito's layoff after beating Cotto. The difference is Margarito is a seasoned veteran while Williams was just breaking through. Still not an excuse, and I still can't explain the Quintana loss.

There was no excuse Carlos won that fight.

This thread is showing that different between Williams and Margarito fans. Margarito make excuses after every single loss.

Oh against Williams he started too late. Or maybe that plaster didn't harden up yet

Margarito fans blamed his loss to Williams on starting late, so do the same for the Quintana fight for Williams. P-Will started late; otherwise, he wins by KO! At least Williams avenged his loss.
