It's real easy to create angles when you're a southpaw fighting an orthodox. If you move outside of an orthodox guys lead foot, you can easily come over top of his jab and if he tries a right the angle is real awkward. Joe Calzaghe built his whole career on this
Why is it so difficult to box south paws?

Experience. Through experience you get a sense of range you get accustomed to the range of an orthadox fighter. That experience will be less against a southpaw you will be less used to their range.
Though as there are more orthadox fighters they will be used to you, that being said I think a southpaw would be equally confused against another southpaw.Comment

**** on! This is the main reason...
I have sparred a few, and I once stepped on this kids foot after throwing a jab, I rolled my ankle and sprained it. I hated them after that ! Ever since then I am very conscious of their front footComment

fair enough, iv hurt people in fights with body shots but never put anyone down with one, but honestly never tried to put everything into it in sparring or when I have felt someone wince I never would follow up on it, we would get in trouble in our gym if we did.Comment

I only do it if they hit me hard. Just to show who's in control.Comment
