My style is to control distance and keep my left hand low and countering right hand leads with my own punches. When you keep your left hand low, it's hard to block a right jab in time because it's right in front of you. Dealing with the right hand preoccupies you, which distracts you and takes your focus off the right hook.

Also, your jab is hard to get in around the right hand lead unless you come under or over while stepping to the left. Against a southpaw you can't come straight in, you have to come in from an angle because the counter right hook is no joke.

Different angles and different spacing when you throw your punches. You can't be too reckless unless you want to get headbutted.

if your orthodox its a lot easier for a southpaw to block your jab and even come over your jab with something

It's all bull**** - the only reason southpawa get noticed is because there's less of them.

Think about this logically: So your southpaw opponent fights the ext opposite to you, jabs right power shots left.......so what do you think YOU do to HIM? ................

                  The exact opposite lol.

Familiarity is the reason southpaws 'seem' to do well; any pro boxer or trainer would tell you this.
