he was better at covering up than Hatton expected but didn't offer much offensively on the inside (apart from holding and elbows). Naturally what would've happened would have been the whole fight would've been fought on the inside given the pressure hatton was putting on floyd but Cortez wasn't having it

I’m currently re-watching Mayweather/Hatton fight again. Never realized for the first round Mayweather was kept landing solid left hook. Hatton just walked right into Floyd’s plan. Oh yea. I am also listening to the British commentary. They thought Floyd was hurt when he slipped.

Even with Hatton's mum has the referee, with the fight in manchester townhall/centre at 140 with billy graham/mayweather snr in his corner he would still lose to Mayweather.

For years Hatton had the referees(Mickey vann/Dave parris) in his pocket when facing other fighters, He would get away with loads of crap in the ring but thats boxing for you..so why complain now when you lose and the referee isnt one to do you any favours?? just be a man and move on..
