I couldn't disagree more. If he beats Manny he could claim to be in the top 6 p4p but not number one. As much as it hurts me to say, i believe if Manny loses Calzaghe will become number one. Lets hope that doesn't happen.

Nah........ He will have to be put in the top 10 p4p lists for a while though, like Marg was after beating Cotto

Hatton would be top 5, tough to keep him out of the top 5 with a big win over Pacquiao and his only loss to the previous no.1.

Calzaghe would have to be no.1, as he is still undefeated and his win over Hopkins looks much better now than it at first.

Top Five? Why? Maybe top ten. Depends on where he's ranked now.

We still don't know how good Pac is at the higher weights. What if Oscar was just shot to ****?

Anyway, beating Tiger Woods doesn't make you Tiger Woods. Vernon Forrest didn't become pound for pound #1 after beating Shane, neither did Tarver after knocking Roy out.

I hope not. Originally, weren't the P4P lists a way of measuring which fighters would beat which if they were all the same weight? But it's gotten to the stage where its a ranking system where boxers challenge eachother to move to the top of it.

If we obey the list's original intention, then Hatton should not be number 1, as he would lose to Calzaghe, Hopkins, Mosley etc

Many sites including the ring have him in the top 10 already, Mosley was'nt even in the top 10 but he took Margaritos place when he beat him. If he beats Pac he should be in the top 5.

Really? He was in the top ten already? Interesting. I didn't know that. Times must be rough these days.
