i don't know who to put as the last 3 between a number of guys. darchinyan because of mijares......nonito because of vic......cotto beat mosley and his loss to marg didn't really hurt him imo......lopez just looks invincible at 122......as bad as heavy is wlad is still dominating......dawson beat tarver and glen johnson......

any of those guys make a list i won't complain.

williams doesn't deserve it though. he has 1 good win and it wasn't even impressive.

I think Darchinyan comes out on top of that pile just about, and if he manages to beat Arce, which I'm predicting, then he's definitely #8 on my list anyway

Donaire is up there off the strength of his ability alone to me. The win over Darch is great (and getting better as Darch's reputation continues to grow) but it happened quite a while ago now and shouldn't hold too much weight in a discussion about rankings in '09, IMO

One more good win and Lopez will really blow up and become the star he's threatening to be, but until then I have him just outside the top 10

Dawson I'm frankly not all that impressed with, neither on strength of recent wins nor ability. He still looks green to me.

Cotto is great, I'm just waiting for an excuse to put him back up there. Hopefully it'll come with a rematch against Marg sooner rather than later
