Andre Ward-Glen Johnson is Being Discussed

He never got "pwned". The kid hasnt lost a fight since he was 13 years old. He went on a 5 year unbeaten streak in the ammys leading up to his Olympic victory. People can say what they want about it not being the pros, but top ranked ams fight top ranked ams at all the major events, and he went unbeaten in that environment for five years. That says a lot about how good of a fighter he is. He just hasnt been given the opportunity to show it against a top ranked pro.

I'd rather see ward in the mix at 168. More excitin fights to be made there than at 175 imo. Ward's got talent, he just needs some excitin fights to really blow up. Not that a Johnson fight wouldn't be good, but I don't think he'd be as effective at 175 and he'd get beat by Glen anyway.

Ward has been fighting for 4 years now, he needs to step up but i think glen johnson is a mistake. He makes everyone look bad.

Lol Thanks, and I know you addressed it generally by saying "people who dont know much..", but with all due respect, I have seen Andre in a couple of his fights. I just did not rely on his boxrec record. Like I said, from what I have seen in his fights including Camou and Ravelo, he did not look all that spectacular. I could tell he was a class above those opponents, but nothing to suggest that he can defeat Jermaine Taylor or Glen Johnson; two fighters which he/ his promotional company has called out..

He really needs to step up in competition, but going after Johnson is a mistake. He should fight someone like Allan Green, Librado Andrade or even Mundine. Everyone knows that Dawson barely beat Johnson and Chad is way above Ward.

I think Andre is better than Chad!Andre has more talent and speed.

But I also don't think Andre should fight Glen Johnson at this point.He should fight Jermain Taylor or Allan Green first.

Ward will be a world champion and superstar in the future.
