im not.. my point is I dont think thier was any plaster or the commision would have spotted it...

the whole investigation to weather he tried to cheat is based on weather or not he had a plaster substance on his or in his gauze.

Why would they have seen it? If you think that then its safe to say that nobody has used such a substance and gotten away with it and the Luis Resto incident is all fabrication. Assuming things have caused empires to fall.

Boxing commissions are not immune to incompetence, apathy and corruption.

There is no knight in shining armor in this sport, it's every man for themselves.

Ok, my bad, and maybe you're right about the investigation. My point is there are different ways to cheat when wrapping hands and I would bet most top level trainers know most of them, while these figure heads from the boxing commisions actually know very little. I know this because I almost went to work as a boxing inspector at Foxwoods Casino and as much time as I've spent either in or around the sport, I don't know **** about the different ways to tape hands. I knew a guy who was an inspector who had no background in boxing whatsoever other than to watch it on tv. So if it happens in one place it bound to happen in another. Peace.

I just don't get how this happens though! Isn't someone from the athletic commission supposed to overlook the fighters and trainers while they are wrapping the hands?

Was Margarito's plaster mixed before hand or on the spot and if so why didn't someone catch this if it indeed happened? Is the commission that careless, and if they are then who knows how many other fighters rig there wraps to have an unfair advantage?

I don't like this doubt man.. This whole thing just ****ed things up for me.
If Margarito or Capatillo did indeed get plaster past the commission.. n would not have been caught where it for Naz, who knows how many times they have done it? Who knows if others have done it?
This puts a big cloud not only on Margarito but boxing.

I'm hoping Naseem was just crying wolf like he did against Tito because this puts our sport in a bad place.
naazim did not cry wolf with tito... tito had his hands wrapped illegally just like margarito... but the verdict is still out on if he used plaster

If a magician can make things disappear and appear with you watching surely a seasoned trainer if he wanted to could slip something the same color as the tape and gauze into a wrap. The commission was on hand in the Resto incident. But if this was a non-issue it wouldnt have gotten this far, something was there, you can bet that.
