I see a few coming up soon and will make note of them before they come.

ok, perhaps 'shifting the money line' was exaggerated but i think the influx of late money on shane had something to do with the discovery of illegal hand wraps

But where do you have proof there was an influx, from the same guy who wrote a thread about a Mexican family being involved? Marg had 5 losses prior to this one, no reason to start believing senseless rhetoric from people. Again if the fight was fixed there would be no reason for Marg to hurt his credibility by having plaster found on his person. Makes no sense at all, now Marg has to deal daily with people seeing him as a cheater, if he isnt depressed because of that then something is wrong with him. This is a part of history and won't go away, he didnt do this on purpose, trust me.

You're right I'm sorry, every upset in boxing is a fix, there is no such thing as an off night, and "styles make fights" does not exist.

I said I was undecided. For someone who claims to hate this thread, you sure spend a lot of time on it if you were going page to page looking for names. Go read a thread you actually like.

but he also throws back. In this fight he didn't even attempt to throw back.

Now you're just being childish. If you got nothing to say then just stfu and read. You might learn something. I never said that there isn't any upsets. Su****ious upsets with proven slugger/puncher who refuse to throw punches against heavy underdog golden boy promoted fighters is what I'm talking about. Don't reply if you don't have something to say.

I agree with the people who say it sounds way more realistic that the $2mill shift was due to HBO announcing the illegal wraps on air right before the fight started. HBO said there were a lot of celebs (with money) in the crowd and word traveled fast (Pac Man reportedly bet $7Gs himself... why he didn't bet more I don't know.)

Another thing... A crime family forcing a boxer to throw a fight is very believable, I just don't think it happened in this fight, but that's just my opinion (but it wouldn't surprise me if eventually some sort of news about Marg and his family being threatened at some point in his career surfaced). But again watching how the fight went down, it doesn't seem like this was the case here.

But it's funny how often people don't pay attention. People are on here saying why would Marg throw the fight and risk future paydays with the Cotto rematch, etc.? The conspiracy theory that's being presented here is that a very dangerous drug cartel (known to kill, kidnap and torture people, even threatening pro boxers) stepped to Margarito. If that were to actually happen, I highly doubt Margarito would have much choice in the matter. He wouldn't be sitting there going, "Gee, they might kill my whole family, but what about the money I was gonna make fighting Cotto again?"

But, again, for the people who don't pay attention, I don't think Marg threw the fight.
