I guess we have to wait and see if anything comes of this.
Just a thought though, wagers over 2 milly allegedly came in at 7:26 west coast time,
does anyone recall at what point during the telecast it was that the announcers said that a su****ious substance had been found in Marg's wraps?
Just curious if that could have swayed some wagers at the last second, again just a thought.

        This is ridiculous.

I'm starting to think some of you guys love the conspiracy **** more than you do the actual fights.

Margarito did not take a dive. He was going the full twelve rounds with Mosley, until he ****ED up and threw a wide punch, and Mosley countered him. If not for that, there may have been no knockout opportunity.

If you want to say that Margarito planned to lose the fight on the scorecards, then I'll say again that Mosley was simply better than him. Margarito threw a number of shots with intent, and that stunned Mosley (as Mosley said in the post interview).

Its not just who wins that is fixed. You know what the odds were for a Mosley ko? Astronomical. Anybody that wouldve bet for a Mosley ko happeining in the 9th or 8th round would have been considered ******. But whoever did, made a **** load of money.

Took a dive? If you're gonna take a dive you might wanna do it when you eat the first good shot to make it look realistic, not after 9 rounds of eating right hands and being brutalized.

He said that these 'smart money' wagers are common, although two factors have piqued the Justice Department's interest.

First, the amount of the wagers placed on Mosley was in great dispaity to the number of them. He said when alot of small wagers are made immediately prior to the fight they can be more easily dismissed as 'smart money' than a handful of very large ones. On Saturday, six separate Las Vegas casinos took wagers on Mosley at approximately 7:26 PST (right before the fight) totaling more than two million dollars.

Second, the FBI in Southern California has been investigating for some time the Arellano Drug Cartel's dealings with a number of athletic events, including boxing. The Arellano family has apparently kidnapped and held at ransom the wife or children of certain fighters in an effort to get that fighter to fix the fight. A former member of Margarito's management named Roberto Ramos is currently under investigation for being associated with the Arellano cartel.

Is it possible that Margarito threw the fight? I'm sure we'll being hearing more about this.
he had illegal hand wraps now he took a dive...Coem on fellas why would a guy who is taking a dive try to load up his gloves?....If that is even true....Lefty

You didn't have to plead with Margarito to go down. He dove at the canvas.
