Grey (Cape Cod, MA): What is it with people and "fixed fights"? I've watched an insane amount of boxing in the last eight years or so and I've seen one, maybe two fights were I thought a guy phoned it in. Even then, I didn't think it was for financial reasons.

Look at Holyfield and Buster Douglas, both had lost their mothers right before kicking Tyson's ass. Wouldn't that be a distraction. People thought they would pull out of the fights when that happened.

How would you know if Mosley was "an emotional wreck?" You are supposing that, you don't know that his separation was emotionally devastating to him, you can only guess. For all we know, his separation galvanized him to perform better. Maybe he felt free for the first time in a long while.
