Ye but you're under the assumption that he's using them. You can't say "we'll only know if Margarito admits to it". Well what if he admits he didn't use it? Ultimately by saying he must admit to it or else we won't know ultimately argues from the point that he did use them and with a bias against him. The neutral answer should be, "there's no evidence that he used them, but it is quite possible." You don't go to trial as a prosecutor and say "Well we don't have any evidence your Honour, but if the defendant admits to it then his confession will count." The obvious question is "Well what if he didn't do it? Can you prove he did?" The benefit of the doubt is always to the defendant, in this case it's Margarito.

Keep in mind, sir, that we aren't prosecutors in a court of law nor are we law students. We're just a bunch of boxing fans debating Margarito's reputation and legacy within our niche of society.

The fact of the matter is that Margarito was not cleared of anything. The NSAC just decided that it wasn't going to waste its time and taxpayers dollars investigating something that, even if it were true, wasn't going to be proven. So, the neutral position is neither required nor really definable.

I don't understand how anyone can defend Margo for the Shane fight. Past fights I get, there's no way to know. But for the Shane fight it's as clear as day.

If a guy cheats you have to assume thats how he got his statis in the sport, right now its illegal to use steroids, or use a cast iron wraping. So , I assume if Shane took steroids to fight a pieace of **** like De La Hoya, he'd take a few to hang in there with Miguel Cotto. Its not just oh he was so in fear of Shane that he decided to cheat why not in fear of Miguel Cotto?

I like the article because it explains why Tito likes to use alot of gauze. Its not to make his fist like a cast. Guaze is soft. He is trying to protect his hands and I understand. Think about it. When all you do is throw heat. Your hands start to hurt. Im sure the gauze enables Tito to throw his hardest punch all night long without worrying about hand pain. Hand pain will cause a week punch more than anything. Tito isn't trying to load his gloves, hes just trying to protect what makes him Tito. His power comes from him, not a cast like hand wrap. Thats bs. BTW. He wasn't using anymore tape or gausze then the other fighters, he was just using it in a different order than what is allowed. This helped him secure more gauze ofer his knuckles, giving him more protection, not more power or making his gloves any harder. It would actually make the impact softer for both his hands, and the other guys face.

****m Richardson (Shane Mosley’s trainer), was the man in the Margarito dressing room that was supposed to witness the wrapping of Margarito’s hands. Amazingly, one of Margarito’s hands was already in the glove and signed off by the representative of the California State Athletic Commission when Richardson appeared in the room. The Commission official was reported to be joking with the Margarito entourage while speaking Spanish when Richardson arrived.

He did it in the Trinidad/Hopkins fight, he did it in the Secundo Mercado rematch w/Hopkins.. Hopkins was down twice in the first fight..

this isnt the first time he made a stink out of an opponents hand wraps and made them re wrap.

None the less its not allowed so he can't do it, but he's not making his fist any harder to increase power. He is no Margarito. If he did that then he would really be a piece of ish. Thats attempted murder.
