Haye-Wlad; not good for boxing

I don't get this 'unproven at HW' crap. Haye was the undisputed cruiserweight champ, so he can box. You might argue he isn't big enough, or may be chinny, but neither of those are likely to change much. If he can get Wlad now, go for it - why mess about?

I do see what your saying entirely, and thought similar myself more so when Haye was fighting Vitali. Reason being Haye for me has shown he's a legitimate top 10 HW fighter with a shot at good things. By rushing it against Vitali, in my and many's eyes he was just going to rush, lose to a tough chinned beast and waste it all as he said even if he could climb back up he wouldn't want to.

This is still somewhat true for Wlad as there's a good chance he'll lose that one. So I do see what your saying, a couple more wins, establishing himself more would be great.

But you have to respect that Haye doesn't care about that. He thinks he's in his physical prime, doesn't like to mess around, just wants to train hard, get in there and see if he can do the business. If he can't I think he feels he never would have been able to anyway, so it was worth a shot. Now I think maybe he would improve a little with more experience, but the guy has a good point, reasonable logic, and is fearless in taking on whoever, where ever.

You've got to be taking the mick, right...? Why would Haye need Wlad's leftovers? He'd most likely KO them quicker, too (i.e. Barrett).

So you think Haye stopping a 37 year old Barret, 16 mo after he was starched in 2 by a clubfighter, quicker than Wlad stopping a once beaten, never stopped, 29 year old Barret, actually means something? You don't like Wlad's leftovers? How about Dimitrenko, Povetkin, Arreola, Chambers, hell anyone with a pulse? I thought David promised to fight two top 10 contenders at HW. I've yet to see him fight one. He didn't even look good in his one showing against an old, washed up, never has been.

Haye has the potential to be a big crossover star. Were he to beat Wladimir K in style, I believe to would be nothing but positive. Haye ticks all the boxes as a heavyweight attraction, exciting, good-looking, that bit of vulnerablity that leads to drama one way or another.

Even if he loses to WK, it will be exciting and dramatic while it lasts. With WK's power and own less-than-perfect whiskers, they make a good match

Haye and Haye's promoters want to fight Klitschko and fight him now. Haye is in his own backyard in London and they both will make quite a bit off of this fight. It's on no doubt for this summer and it's gonna be a great one. Do work Haye take over.

It's not a case of whether I have a problem with it. It's a case of whether he would have taken the fight if he could get it.

NO, I give Haye mad respect for challenging.But the thing is, hes a unknown over here in the states. And i belive he would make way more money if he fought some HBO fights first.With his style he would defiently get peoples attention.
Yes this fight is great for us boxing fans right now.

BUT if Haye gets killed we are right back where we were. If Haye wins, the rematch would be bigger but the non-boxing fans already missed the first one fight.
