You're right, Haye should fight some **** fat black guys who look like Idi Amin - get tons of easy wins under his belt, then eventually fight Wlad.

Or he could just do it now, and not f.uck about like everyone else does.

He asked for the "best" and he got what he desired. Atleast he's not padding out a record like most complain on here. Not padding it out like Wlad.

On the contrary, the heavyweight division was/is being knocked for constant 'ducking' and winging from the top fighters. Now you have today's most exciting heavyweight boxer Vs. its best. It may not be as big of an event over here in the U.S. as opposed to Europe but this could be the the fight that could put the heavyweight division back on the map (w/ proper marketing)

Yeah but look at Ricky Hatton, they really knew how to market him.

They showed him fight a few journeymen on showtime then the Kosta fight came in.

After that they had him fighting lesser opposition on HBO Mussa, Collazo and Urango. After that he was a known fighter among the US.

And then **** 850,000 ppv buys vs Floyd.

I mean dont get me wrong! im really excited for the fight. I would have liked if something similar to my plan would have been used.

AND BY THE WAY IM TALKING ABOUT HERE IN THE US NOT ENGLAND. I know hes a known name already

Its a good time to make it, Haye wants to retire before he turns 30, Wladimir doesnt have an opponent until Povetkin's recovered (even though I havent heard what happened to the Arreola fight), but seeing as the fight wouldnt take place until june 20 Haye could take a tune up fight late march. I wouldnt be against a tune up first

i would love that, i just think this fight can be huge if the non-die hard boxing fans would see Haye in action first

I mean seeing him KO some guys with that record would catch anybodies attention,

I agree Haye should beat some guys at HW first and help make the fight even bigger but I still think it will be a big enough fight anyway, especially compared to what else has recently been seen at HW.

In other news, we now know what happened to Haye's cowboy hat
Skip to the end for Wlad's 'dancing'

Why risk fighting past it fatties when you can go straight to the top?
Because if fighting those past it fatties is such a risk and you're unproven at HW, then maybe you don't deserve a title shot? There are a number of HWs like Povetkin and Gomez that have actually earned their shots. And why should Wlad fight Haye when he'll get zero credit for beating him?

Eh, screw it, the HW division needs some excitement, bring it on.

The only HW fights that mean anything are Haye vs one of the K bros and Valuev vs one of the K bros. Nobody would get excited about anything else at HW, and really wouldn't be excited about one of em against Valuev, it'd just be the last unification fight. Haye's right to jump str8 to the top and target Wlad.

You've got to be taking the mick, right...? Why would Haye need Wlad's leftovers? He'd most likely KO them quicker, too (i.e. Barrett).

Haye is certainly right to jump the line not many people would care about anything else. I would rather haye fought one more fight but hes a man on a mission. Its great its on setanta as it raises peoples awarness of haye in england and will raise his profile most pubs will be packed. I do hate setanta though complete waste of money why cant skyjust buy them or something???
