I dont feel very good about the respect i lost for margarito

Shane didint carry his power from 135, thats my opinion, i guess i dont watch boxing. Dude was never a big puncher at 147 or 154. The knockouts of vargas and mayorga werent that special to me because...it was vargas who hadnt looked good in ages, and mayorga, who again, hadnt looked good in ages. This is the first time ive seen shane knock someone out to the point that i had no idea it would happen.

I feel Cotto is a stronger puncher than Mosley, if that ruins my credibility as a fight fan to you, i can live with that.

How much respect do you have for Mosley who used steriods? And where was your post about his steriod use?

You should also know that Margarito was able to take Cottos shots because he had plaster in his head - true story.

And the commission asked him to re-wrap his hands 3 times, so yeah all three times in front of the commisioner he used plaster. You fools should know it was a Hopkins trick that Mosleys camp adapted.

Mosley, even with alledged steroid use, never looked any different because of it. He lost that 2nd fight with de la hoya when this event actually mattered. This was highlighted again when he fought Winky that first fight, i didint really lose much respect for him because Mosley has never really mattered that much to me, i never really respected the guy that much after the 2nd de la hoya fight anyway. 2 Beatdowns from forrest, a gift against de la hoya and a beatdown against winky were enough to redeem himself from steroid use since he never tested positive or was accused of it again, dude took enough losses and beatings to where he was able to make the allegations be a forgtten thing.

Again, Mosley Never looked like a different fighter because of steroids by any means, weather he knew they were roids or not, i dont know, i think he probably did, but nobody ever really said otherwise, except victor conte, and we know how he can be with accusations.

It's really close, I can definitely see a case for Shane, but using Margarito as a gauge isn't accurate(not saying you are just in general). Cause if Cotto was stepping into his punches against Margarito like Shane was instead of going backward who knows how Tony would have taken them.

Not really, look at what i said. I feel de la hoya was robbed in their second fight, and i was glad to see him take a beating by wright twice, i thought he had a shot against cotto, but i wasnt too dissapointed he lost. Mosleys time for being known as a cheater came and went, hes taken his beatings and hasnt been caught since, and has ressurrected his career. Im not going to spend years tearing him down for it, what more am i supposed to do?

I have always ripped on margarito for his skillset and how limited it is, i always hated on the fact that i felt that he wasnt as avoided as everyone made it out to be. But it dissapoints me that now, i have to respect him less because he plastered his hands in lord knows how many matches. There are some of you here that take great joy in this event, i dont, because i paid money to see margarito/cotto, i expected to see two EVENLY MATCHED fighters and now his win over him is tainted for me personally, here is why.

Mosley IN NO WAY punches harder than cotto, Cotto was throwing absolute bombs, but boxing is mental, Margarito had to know he had an advantage and he had to know that eventually cotto was going to break down, the wear on cotto was obvious in the second half of the fight. Margarito is NOT a big puncher, thus he relies on accumulation. You notice how in this fight, he had a look he had never had before, like maybe this time he wasnt going to break the guy down. I sincerely think he cheated during that cotto fight, and it dissapoints me to feel this way because i respected the guy for doing all he had with such little natural talent. Now i know he likely cheated his ass off for who knows how many fights. That isnt right and it hurts our sport.

Hey, I feel the same way, but Mosley faught stylistically beautiful. Even with the loaded gloves I don't think Marg would be in position to use it because Mosley took it out of him. Marg did look discourage diffinetly.
