Like people said, you have to give the benefit of the doubt when it's a championship fight, what if Smoger stopped the first Taylor-Pavik fight in the second round? Which a lot of refs would have stopped, Pavlik was all over the place.

Caiz was HORRIBLY biased in that fight. You'll notice he keeps telling Mosley to stop talking early in the fight. Like Shane ****ing Mosley is going to talk to an opponent? Whatever. There was also a point where he separated the fighters and told Margarito to take a deep breath. I was like WTF

The only thing that I couldn't understand the ref doing was telling BOTH fighters "relax...nice and relaxed" and "take a deep breath." WTF? I don't think the ref is supposed to coach these guys.

But the ref seemed fair to me. No one really wanted the fight to be stopped at that point and it was at the end of the round. I think more people would have been disappointed if he stopped the fight after the 1st knockdown.

And I never got the feeling that he was wiping swear off of Margo's head. Seemed to me that he was checking for a cut, especially since there were a number of unintentional headbutts. Just my opinion.

Besides the knock down, Raul Caiz Sr did the worst job of any referee I have seen in recent memory. He was acting like Joe Cortez out there; trying to get camera time.

Yes!!!! I hated that ****. He was stoping the action and being slow in breaking them up. It was fustrating to see that ****. LOL I thought about Cortez as well.

The reason the ref did all this because he was Mexican. He was embarrassed that Margarito was being exposed for being what he is.

The ref was an utter joke and disgrace like Margarito is. If you watch after the first knockdown. Margarito was DONE. The ref asked him to walk towards him. Margarito only took one step, and then the ref walked towards Margarito and touched his gloves and cleaned it. The fight should have been called off then. Margarito was wobbling towards his corner.

He the final KO, he was very reluctant to stop the fight. He was embarrassed that a Mexican warrior was being exposed for what he truly was a FRAUD.
What finally got me cut was. When he broke up the clinching once, he wiped the sweat of Margarito’s forehead.
