Apparently Hatton is not a 147 pounder

Apparently Hatton is not a 147 pounder when he loses, but he is a 147lbs when the contract is on the table. I dont think the 147lbs weight limit is that big of an issue, its just Hatton fought two fighters that were his kryptonite. Mayweather was obviously levels above him and Collazo was a good counter punching lefty.

It gets on my nerves when Hatton says **** like im not a 147lbs when he loses, but he keeps taking fights at that weight. I would not be suprised if he goes up there again if the money is right.

Hatton looked like a LMW against Malignaggi. Malignaggi actually looked like a true 140lbs.

Is there any point to this thread or are you just mindlessly hating again?

Hatton relies a lot on his physical strength at 140, he loses that advantage at 147 which is why he doesn't do well there.

Its still the same old ricky hatton imo, steaming in head up, hardly any head movement, he got away with it cos Paulie has no power and is one handed. Paulie was landing jabs galore on hatton but he couldnt keep him off. Those billy graham tactics might work against a urango or a Paulie, if he steps up to 147 and takes on two handed guys with a bit of power, its a different story.

This is true, but its not like he is stepping up 4 divisions. Roberto Duran gave Marvin Hagler a tough 15 round fight at 160lbs.

I believe Hatton is a genuine 147lbs, but because of his lack of skills(Margarito) he HAS to be the bigger man.
