Williams is a good fighter and he's entertaining. I remember watching him on ESPN back in '06 before he blew up (his ESPN debut I believe) when he knocked out a fighter named Rios. I couldn't believe that such a tall rangy fighter could fight in the manner he fought, throwing 100 punches per round and really fighting a small mans fight.

I think his die hard fans get carried away with the talk about him beating anyone 147-160, but he'll certainly be a tough test for any of the top guys at Jr Middle or Welterweight. I hope he fights another younger, live opponent sometime soon like he did with Quintana.

Paul Williams scored entertaining KOs in two of his past three fights. His revenge against Quintana was very impressive.

Hey lucy why did paul DUCK his mandatory position for a shot at sergie for a world title bout? Didn't he say he wanted to win a belt in all these divisions? Why duck the real champ at 154 for a belt and instead fight an inactive winky for nothing??????

Paul ducked sergie what a joke! Paul also has not title defenses, Paul lost his title in his very first title defense.......talk about epic failure!

That is false. An offer was made to sergie but he turned it down requesting an unrealistic amount of money.

Paul is ducking sergie, quintana, clottey AND the ***** ducked the immediate rematch that margarito not only asked for but petitioned and won the petition to have the WBO place margarito as pauls mandatory setting up an immediate rematch. Goosend and williams asked for an option defense then go and lose the belt in their first defense lol

paul is the biggest ducker in boxing.......true story.
Without filtering out the other garbage here, Williams fought Quintana twice. That's hardly ducking and Quintana hasn't exatly built a strong case for a rematch after getting iced in one round. Also, considering that Arum says he will never promte a fight with Paul Williams in it(when it comes to Margarito) how is a Clottey fight supposed to happen since he is promoted by Arum?

Which is more of a fluke? Handedly outboxing someone over 12 full rounds, or stopping them cold in the first? I was more impressed with Williams after the Margarito fight than I am now, while most other people laughed him off then and praise him like the second coming now. Strange considering his mediocre opposition since then and given his clear loss to a second tier WW.

Knocking someone out in the first is more impressive. Only morons like you think otherwise.

                  obviously...

its harder to KTFO someone in the 1st round than outbox them for 12 rounds
