This is the trend with Floyd fans

    Floyd would have destroyed Cotto
    Floyd would have destroyed Margarito
    Floyd would have destroyed Pacquiao
    Floyd would have destroyed Williams

This is how you KNOW even Floyd fans believe his career was left unfinished because there is no other phrase associated more with Floyd used by his own fans than "Would Have".

Floyd's career has turned into a "Would Have" career.

Floyd hasn't stepped in the ring with either of those fighters and most likely wont.

    Woulda, Coulda, DIDNT

That's all Floyd fans can say..In the end Cotto,Margarito and Mosley are destroying each other out while Floyd is hiding in his bathroom. Floyd didn't fought any of them

THe Fact is Floyd WOULD HAVE MIGHT HAVE!

Its funny how floyd does not even have to beat anyone inside the ring to get credit for actually beating a fighter.

Mosley dominated margarito, so of course floyd would have done the same.

Exactly what fight has floyd performed like mosley did against margarito above 140 lbs.

Floyd would never and I repeat never ever beat margarito in the same manner mosely did. Floyd since he fought above 140lbs has not shown the desire to risk anything in order to entertain. Now thats not a knock on floyds superior boxing skill. Of course we would be the favorite to out box about everybody around the welter division. But the burden of proof is on floyd to prove he could beat a you fill in the blank fighter. and actually beating a fighter is quite different than assuming he would beat a fighter.

the burden of proof was on floyd to prove he could clean up the welter division, not his fans. Floyd didnt think it was necessary, I wish him the best in retirement and hope not to see him return because of monetary issues.

Its really sad to see floyds fans holding on to little moral victories by assuming since mosley dominated margo that of course floyd would.

all praise to mosely for his performance and floyd deserves none since he was not the one in the ring kicking margarito ass.

            In a Floyd fan's mind

Cotto Decisions Mosley = Mayweather KO's Mosley RD1
            Margarito KO's Cotto = Mayweather KO's Cotto RD1
            Molsey KO's Margarito = Mayweather KO's Margarito RD1
Marquez Gives Pacquiao Tough Fight = Mayweather KO's Pacquiao RD1

Keep in mind Mosley is 37 years old and nowhere near as fast as he was at his best. Yet he toyed with Margarito and landed every punch he threw. If that's not humiliating I don't know what is.
Doesn't work in boxing, dude. Mosely is all around a different fighter than Floyd, and engaged with extreme power combos and wicked body work that Mayweather IMHO would've been very wary to do against Margarito.

So the answer is, Yes. Still a lot of doubt. Mayweather obviously had quite a bit of doubt himself...

anyone with two functioning brain cells always knew Floyd would destroy that clown.

only people who didnt' were spammers, his fanboys and the racists.

Margarito's career aint **** compared to Floyd's. Floyd is an undefeated 6 division champion future Hall of Famer. Margarito is a Mexican hype job.

styles make fights & mayweather isn't agressive enough to beat margarito imo
shane fought him toe to toe.. that's something mayweather would never do.
