It is getting out of control. What did he do to make you all hate him? He never called himself the best of all time. He is very humble. Down to earth guy. He cares about the fans and wants to give real boxing fans what they want to see.

He dosent have a big mouth. He dosent throw money to the crowd. He just fights. And last night he lost. No big deal, hes a fighter and this is what happens when you fight the best fighters in the world. You lose from time to time.

It is a shame because i really think he lost a lot last fight and wont ever be the same tornado we came to know.

He has been cheating with Hand wraps. It makes a big difference, even one blow from a casted wrap feels considerably harder than a legal wrap. So after many punches landed it makes a drastic difference and you have a much higher chance of giving someone permanent damage or even killing them. Look at the state of Cottos face during the last rounds of their fight. That would NOT have happened without the casts the sob was wearing underneath his gloves.

Thats why he is now hated.

Cotto was undefeated and the rising star of the sport. He lost because of that Bull**** Mexican Cheaters.

I don't hate him. I have nothing against him as a person and I respect that he puts it all on the line when he fights. However, he's been overhyped for a long time so it is sweet to see him brought down to what he is - an ordinary fighter with a chin who can easily be beat with a good skill set and game plan.

As far as the handwraps I'm still going to wait and see what happens but right now it's not looking and this will definitely be another strike against him.

It's a combination of his hardcore fans thinking he was invincible and the hand wrap issue has really turned people against him. Like pea said the nuthuggers will take a lot of **** when their man gets beat down, but the hand wrap issue added more to the fire.
