Why are so many of you being so quick to disown Tony, trash him in words on here, take down your avatars, etcetera?
Ever hear of innocent until proven guilty?
Nothing has been investigated as yet.
There will be an investigation into this.
When the results of that investigation are made public, then is the time for a lynchmob free-for-all, if you must. Until then, how about everybody keeps their cool?
I've seen, "aww, Cotto's face disfigured out of the blue late in their fight when he was hardly hit at all by Tony". Oh, yeah? How come you didn't make that observation at the time, geniuses?
I've seen, "aww, look at that picture of a de-gloved Tony after the Cotto fight, those wraps definitely don't look right". Um, ok. But why didn't you speak out about this before?
Tony went out for the 9th yesterday evening knowing he was done and knowing he didn't have to go out and take any more. He was given the option to quit and instead went out for more punishment. Sound like the action of some lowly cheat who would lack pride enough to load his gloves to give himself an unfair and cowardly advantage over an opponent?
Tony is all heart in my eyes.
If I'm proved wrong about the handwrap thing, however, I'll accept it and a good deal of the lustre will be removed from his accomplishments in the sport.
But I'm not judging him until the **** has been investigated and we know what the facts of it are.
