Keep in mind this is not to discredit the draw that Margarito has become but he's not a bigger draw than Kobe and the Lakers. One thing that was never mentioned is that not only are Laker tickets more expensive that Margarito-Mosley fight tickets were, but a basketball court takes up more room than a boxing ring does. So, they could comfortably fit more fans for the fight than they could for Laker basketball games.

When the Lakers were winning titles a few years ago they could have gotten 80-100,000 people if the Staples Center had room for that many people. The only reason why they didn't have that many people is because the Staples Center can only hold so many people.

Again, this is not to discredit Margarito's drawing power, but he's not a bigger draw than the Lakers.

man , my old company i'll maybe get 2 or 4 tickets maybe twice a year. if i'm lucky maybe 3 times.

in 8 years there i got playoff tickets twice that's it.

for the clippers? hr would walk around , "anybody want to go to a clippers game?" "anyone want clippers tickets?"

then people will debate with themself first whether they should go or not.

half the time i go to the suite for the lakers , it's catered because some bigwig or a bigtime client is attending.

the clippers game have NEVER been catered. in fact one time i got the suite to myself just because no one wanted it.

clippers need to move back to san diego or something.

You guys need to realise that outside America, Beckham is most recognizable face in sports, and he makes more money then Tiger. He pwns everyone in sports when it comes to branding ones self.

Perhaps, but the Lakers own the NBA.

the only thing the celtics owned the last few years were draft lottery picks.

one championship the last 20 years. wow.

like michael jordan said , "you win only one. you just got lucky."

You have to also wonder how many tickets were given away, which is a common occurrence in boxing and wrestling.

I doubt that they papered the event...

It's very possible, very. I don't know so I can't say for sure. But almost every fight is papered.
