    how so?

    because they won last year?

because they won 13 titles back when no one cared about basketball and there were like 5 teams in the league?

    give me a break.

those guys didn't even get championship rings for all those titles. they got one ring for their first title and for the next one they'll get toasters and ****.

You guys need to realise that outside America, Beckham is most recognizable face in sports, and he makes more money then Tiger. He pwns everyone in sports when it comes to branding ones self.

You know how much money Adidas and that **** team in L.A pay him? The guy eats coal and ****s diamonds. Like you said, that's without the other **** he does.

          Celtics > Lakers.

Championships, the Celtics have more of.

I'm off for a nice cold class of victory.

So, they could comfortably fit more fans for the fight than they could for Laker basketball games.

When the Lakers were winning titles a few years ago they could have gotten 80-100,000 people if the Staples Center had room for that many people. The only reason why they didn't have that many people is because the Staples Center can only hold so many people.

Again, this is not to discredit Margarito's drawing power, but he's not a bigger draw than the Lakers.
yeah yeah i know. I was joking around when i made the thread. Good analysis though.

I wonder if Lebron will be a bigger draw than kobe if he were to head over to MSG. It be nice to see the Garden filled with a winning atmosphere

this wasn't vegas sorry that's out the window. These were all fight fans. Place was rocking since about 5 oclock!!! The last 3 undercard fighters must have felt like they made it fighting in front of almost a packed house! lol

margarito is not a bigger draw than the lakers but guess what Lamar Odom and Kobe were there watching him fight.

Kobe is not bigger than tiger or lebron to the poster who said that.

This is the kind of record turn outs that boxing needs right now. This is really good news for boxing; to know that a boxing match out sold all of those champion games LA has had in recent years...

I sure wish that a boxing event could fill even half of the TD Banknorth Garden's capicity let alone sell out. The Celtics are the only ones in town that can do that..

I don't know what they do on the West Coast since I've never covered boxing over there but I know it's pretty standard in the business.

                      and to think,

a record crowd without DLH being in the fight.

No, boxing doesn't have to be saved from anything.
