Did Margarito use Illegal Handwraps to beat Cotto? Poll!

According to HBO, an official from the California Boxing Commission told them what had been found in Margarito's gloves was believed to be plaster, and that it had been confiscated and submitted for further investigation.

Would a neutral party make that up?? I believe in innocent until proven guilty too man, but that's the smoking gun.

Who knows, they may very well decide the substance was fishy however harmless. The comission needs to verify already.

If you're blind to it that's your business, I'm just stating my opinion. The boxing comission is probably running tests on the wraps now. If the substance is harmless then he's innocent. However, supposing the wraps that were apparently not typical and out of the ordinary are determined to be illegal. Then I don't think it is so great a stretch to believe he may have used them in his fight with Cotto.

I'd prefer to have all the facts about the incident before casting a vote for or against the faulty party.

So, I'm willing to wait for word from the commission and their conclusion.

At this point, however, the reports have all insinuated foul play by Margo with only one incomprehensible rebuttal, thus far, by a representative of Margo's team.

If Margo turns out to be culpable of the violation, it certainly doesn't favor his past, current, and future status as a pro boxer.

Well I'll say this.. If they deem the handwraps were illegal in the Mosley match. I'm going to have a lot of trouble thinking he didn't use them. I have a feeling I won't be the only one. What the hell is taking them so long with the info btw. I guess they won't release their findings until they have figured out the official reprecussions.
