The more I think about it, the more egregious this offense seems. The plaster wraps is just as serious as removing padding from the gloves or loading the gloves with something. The California boxing commission should levy some serious fines and impose a long suspension here. Had Shane's team not noticed the illegal wrapping it may have been a much different fight. This illegal behavior cannot be tolerated in boxing at all...

if there is definitive proof he has cheated by using plaster or what not on his wraps then yes he and his corner should be suspened and fine

I don't know if anyone remembers but De La Hoya had to have his had re wrapped several times against pacman because they were being placed on his hands in an illegal fashion. I guess everyone forgot about this and has selective memory.

There's no proof that he has done this in the passed. ANd everytime you get your hands wrapped, you're supposed to be monitored, so you can't go by gut-feeling. You have to go by proof.

Proof is, he got caught BEFORE the fight, therefore, he should just be left alone.

You don't know what plaster is genius, it blends in with the wrapping perfectly. It's not exactly easy to catch, the guy who caught it is a good trainer and looks really hard for that stuff. It's not like its really noticeable, you have to really really be an expert at looking for it.
