    Should Margarito be suspended?

Nowdays, fighters who are caught using steroids are automatically suspended by the state boxing commission they were licensed by (in the U.S.) and usually other states will uphold the suspension as well. The question is, should Margarito be suspended for 6-12 months or more for illegally wrapping his hands?...

I think so, he broke the rules and should be fined and suspended to be punished and to deter other fighters from doing the same thing. What are your thoughts/opinions on this issue..

This is worse then steroids, this can seriously kill someone in the ring... I think he should serve jail time. He basically had bricks in his hands(but felt like feather to him but not the person receiving the punch since the plastic is so hardened)

This kind of cheating is on a whole different level from other equally deplorable acts like steroid usage, because this type of cheating severely raises the risks to your opponet's health.

I have no sympathy for this *******, he should be thrown out of the sport for life. Maybe he can go become best pals with Panama Lewis.

He doesn't deserve the purse he got today, he doesn't deserve any of his purses in boxing now. He should really be sued by every boxer he has ever fought in that ring. No excuses can save this MF'er now. I had a feeling he cheated when he beat Cotto, Cotto's face looked so ****ed up as if he was getting hit by someone who had bricks in their hands, now we know why.

going into the fight tonight, margarito was probably my favorite fighter, but if it is true that he tried to cheat, he should definitely be suspended for a long time and should be fined heavily.

If the studies and tests come back positive that he was indeed using plaster of paris on his wraps and stuff, yes he should, he should be fined too, so should his corner.

Yeah I also think he should just for the sake of Boxing. Other fighters need to understand that this kind of stuff can't happen and if they do break the rules they will be punished. Not just get a slap on the wrist.

There's no proof that he has done this in the passed. ANd everytime you get your hands wrapped, you're supposed to be monitored, so you can't go by gut-feeling. You have to go by proof.

Proof is, he got caught BEFORE the fight, therefore, he should just be left alone.
