    MARGARITO A.K.A the CHEATER

Wonder it the "hands of stone" where present when Margarito broke Cotto's nose in the 2nd round. Cong**** to Sugar Shane, but also big ups to Richardson. The man knows his boxing. Great game plan for this fight and Pavlik/Hopkins fight but also paying attention to every aspect and catching the cheating that "Cheatin Chicano" was trying to get away with. Cotto should go right after margarito and knock his azz out for cheatin, plus cotto should hire richardson to train him.......to ALL THE MARGARITO LOVERS OUT THERE R.I.P....YOUR MANS A FAkE.... THERE A NEW CHAMP IN TOWN......

Yes, this is what I remember as well. From what I understand fighters are allowed to use a certain amount (not sure how many inches of each) of tape and gauze. It is up to the fighter/trainer to decide how they want to distribute it (some prefer more on the wrist, others more knuckle padding), but they must apply all of the gauze at once, followed by the tape. Multiple layers of gauze and tape apparently makes the fist harder than it would be otherwise. I don't know how this would compare to adding plaster of paris to the knuckles, but it would provide some punching advantage; otherwise it would be legal. Layering the wraps is probably not as flagrant or as bold as adding plaster, but it certainly is cheating. Papa T certainly knew it was.

O well, Mosley beat that "cheating" ass.....
Mosely also happens to have a much better beard than Cotto.

I agree. It seems odd that so many people genuinely think that the result of Cotto-Margarito is somehow going to be changed (e.g. no contest). It's pretty safe to say that the statute of limitation has expired if any cheating did, in fact, occur in that fight. Let's just see the rematch. Even before the hand-wrapping revelation, I always felt that Cotto was smart and versatile enough to reverse the outcome of the first fight.

You are probably right but what kind of beard does it take to withstand a plaster cast? Since Nazeem probably studied Marg he must have realized there was something su****ious with his opponents looking so beat up when he isn't really a big puncher. Its very noticeable that Magarito is not fast nor does it look like he throws heavy punches. I imagine taking the cast out of his glove sure took the steam out of his blows. If you look at the punches marg landed on Shane they didn't seem to be very effective. Never trust a guy with a mullet.

He cheated to beat Cotto, what a loser Marg is. And he cost people real money in real life from betting on the fight. I hope people who bet alot of money on cotto to win, go track marg down and beat the bloody piss out him
