Margarito, Illegal Wraps Caught Before Mosley Loss

I thought there was always a member of the athletic commission present to oversee handwrapping to ensure nothing illegal takes place? Apparently not...if it is that much of the wild west in locker rooms, then god knows what takes place before any boxing match.

People don't be hypocrites if we are talking about cheaters why don't we talk about mosley, just like margarito, we don't know how many times they used these dirty tactics.

People. I know everyone is always trying to get a competative advantage, some use steroids, some rap there hands with gauze tape gauze tape instead of gauze tape. Its like baseball some types of cheating are frowned apon (ex. pine tar on bat, greece on ball), some you get fined for(steroids, corked bat) and some you get kicked out of baseball for (ex. betting on baseball)

Of all ways to cheat, Tony did the worst thing. People have gone to jail, and have had charges pressed against them for soing that sort of cheating. Wake up Margarito fans. Everyone cheats, but what your boy did by putting bricks into his gloves borders attempted manslaughter. Continue making excuse or bs comparisons, but if I put on some brass knucles and hit a guy in the face that used steroids, I'm the one with the ridiculous advantage, and I'm the one going to jail.

Everything has perspective, and what Tony did (not just illegally wrapping, but actually putting a hard substance in his gloves is the worst thing a fighter can do. Mike Tyson after biting holyfields ear off thinks Margarito is sick for that.

How Ironic is it that Margarito get caught with ileagle supstance in his gloves and then couldnt hurt, stun or even back mosley up and winds up Getting Knocked the **** out i mean a complete distruction. I guess margaritos punch power came from the iilegal wrapping.

I felt sorry for poor Margarito--he was shamely ko'd and then there's this allegation of illegal wrapping. I guess he was already pretty much done when he was defeated by Williams even if he destroyed Cotto thereafter. Pacquiao probably saw that 'decline' in Margarito's latest performances that he has insisted he can outbox the bigger guy come a chance to fight him. The discovery of the ridiculous wrappings could start a new protocol, that is, each fighter should send one of his men to the other guy's room to watch the wrapping process. Why, this is the second time I know of that the issue has been raised. The first was in the Dream Match when Roach questioned and then witnessed for himself de la Hoya's handwrappings before fight time with Pacquiao. Mosley did great and I hope Pacquiao wins over Hatton so there'll be a chance for a Sugar-Pacman showdown. That'll be a winner!

Now, I'm not condoning what either man did, and to cheat at any sport is disgusting. But, some of the hipocricy on this thread is unbeleivable.

It was in the weeks leading up to DLH 2. And that's it.
Take away that victory and you still have a masterpiece career.
