As much as I want to see Calzaghe lose, I don't think Chad stands a chance. Calzaghe has fought other good punchers in their prime (Kessler) and earned a UD, which is exactly what he'd do to Dawson. I don't see how he's any different, and believe me I can't stand Calzaghe.

its boxing anyone can get dropped on any given night, its boxing. unpredictable just because u get hit with a good punch and fall down dont mean u aint got no chin, just means you got caught. a bad chin is when u always get knocked out

          Your logic is indisputable.

He beat a washed up Roy (correct) so that proves that he would lose to the prime Roy (I'm not saying he wouldn't, but I'm just wondering where the string of logic has gone here?) and that proves he'd get beat by Dawson? (No logical connection whatsoever).

I do think that Dawson and obviously Hopkins would be his biggest competition right now.

LOL, Calzaghe has a glass chin now?

Everything's a polemic in NSB, ain't it? You're either Amigorito or Amir Khan't in the chin department, there's no inbetween.

Thanks for looking at boxrec, now you can watch the fight and see that the Miller knockdown was a flash knockdown and that was earlier in Chad's career. The only time hes admitted he was hurt when against Willie Lee in his 10th or 11th pro fight and his fight against Johnson, and he stopped Lee in the third round and he beat Johnson unanimously.

I admit I didn't see the Miller fight but I heard it was a flash KD.Still a feather fisted Tarver had him on ***** street in the 3rd and Johnson had him multiple times and arguably beat him.

Like him or not, Calzaghe has shown a tremendous ability to adapt and overcome in the past. He fights on the fly, adjusting to his opponet round by round.

Chad's speed may pose problems early, but I think Joe would eventually adapt and overcome, as he always does.
Calzaghe has never adapted to an elusive style like that before, a fighters that has both consistent MOVEMENT and boxing ability, unlike a Kessler. For someone who thinks he automatically adjusts to anyone, see Joe/Reid or Joe vs Hopkins, and many people thought he lost both of those fights because they had the style to take advantage of those flaws and so do Dawson, not add the fact that hes a natural light heavyweight a southpaw( Joe hasn't fought a good one in the pros) and a good puncher. I don't think Joe has a weak chin( that uppercut Jones landed on him around the 5th round was brutal) but i see him being thoroughly out boxed and out speeded. In fact Dawson is so strong, that he could even fight on the inside against Calzaghe and still have success because of his size and body punching.
