Actually that jab was a right hand straight in which Bernard also used his movement. It was a good shot. And besides it didn't hurt him.

Flash KD + body weight push. Joe was stunned by Roy, but not by Hopkins.

I like Chad Dawson a lot and I think eventually he may end up having a better overall career than Calzaghe even if he loses a few fights, but I just don't see him beating Calzaghe at this point. Maybe a year or two from now with a little bit more experience against experienced opponents.

          God Forbid.

Then we'll have to hear how Dawson wasn't crap anyway, I knew along I'd beat him yada yada. Then we get Calzaghe-Froch.

Rematches against big punchers are always dangerous which is why I don't like the Tarver fight for Chad. But it's the road he's chosen because he had no other choice, fighting the Adamek's, Johnson's and Tarver's of the world --high risk, low reward.

i like chad but he wouldnt beat calzaghe, at least not yet.

if calzaghe gets old in his next fight dawson might be able to get him at the right time.

and getting hit in the nose is'nt the same as getting hit in the jaw with a ripping hook

as was with him and jones, and how you figure gettin hit by the forearm is more damaging than the glove?
              you ever box/fight?
do you know anything about physics?

It seems to be all triangles so far in this thread, he beat him and him, but was hurt by him, even though he he beat him quicker than him. Triangles dont apply in boxing, you wanna see whose better of the two? then watch them fight, if it doesnt happen then unlucky but dont go by a theory of workin out whose gonna win which is seriously flawed.

The only time hes admitted he was hurt when against Willie Lee in his 10th or 11th pro fight and his fight against Johnson, and he stopped Lee in the third round and he beat Johnson unanimously.
Only in the eyes of the judges.

Almost everyone else had him losing that fight.

It was a straight right hand, not a job, and one of the best punches I have ever seen.

I honestly don't think Hopkins could hit harder than that, the timing was perfect and he turned all his body weight into that shot.

Remember, if it wasn't for that shot, Joe would have won the round.

                    Yes, I have.

And I know that a glancing blow with the forearm hurts a hell of a lot more than a flush shot, and takes a lot more out of you.

You mean the people who seen Johnson stunning Dawson in the third and tenth and doing not much after that? I closely re watched that over and over, and there were times i had it a draw and other times i had Dawson winning by one point. Either way i never had Johnson winning. People forget the rounds that Dawson out landed and out boxed Johnson, just look at the punch stats. Dawson threw and landed more.
