Pacquiao's last minute move in signing a contract is simply a tactic!

You sound like you got a lot of anger bro... Who you rooting for????Comment

I dont agree with the way pac has been carrying on lately but there's no anger here.
I'm rooting for Hatton but I think it's Pac's to win. I'm looking forward to it either way though because I'd really love to see the winner take on Mayweather.Comment

All's well that ends well. In retrospect, the statement that I, as a Filipino, did not like the most was Shaeffer's mentioning that 60-40 to Hatton was more fair because Hatton will bring more money from England to the table than Pacquiao from the Philippines. If Pacquaio was of the same stature as Hatton - meaning popular only in his own country, that would probably be true. But Pacquaio is now known throughout the boxing world. IN Pacquaio's fight in Ledwaba, that would be true; that era ended when Pacquiao demolished Barrera. Now Pacquiao is known throughout the boxing world as an exciting, if not the most exciting, boxer in the world. Americans have begun to admire Pacquiao's work ethic and boxing ability. His name in the fight will guarantee an exciting bout, not the "hugathon" match Hatton is famous for, which frankly turns me off (I hope Pacquiao will find a way out of this hugging tendency of Hatton). Heck, if he has converted Reggie Miller BEFORE the de la Hoya bout (in an interview before the fight on Filipino television, Reggie Miller said that he was a fan of both Pacquiao and De La Hoya, but he admired Pacquaio's work ethic and will be rooting for Manny during the fight) I'm there there were more than a few American converts after the De La Hoya fight. I would not be surprised if the Pacolites' shouts will drown the Hattonites on fight night; it was almost 50-50 during the De la Hoya fight.
This is the respect angle that Pacquiao was trying to get through. Oh well, I know for sure that Pacquiao has decidied to let his gloves do the talking for him (Poor Hatton), but I have no doubt in my mind that the Hattons, and Shaeffer, disrepected Pacquiao with all this "I bring more money to the table" talk.Comment

i was pissed at pac too for not signing the 50-50 deal. i was disappointed that one of the best fights that can be made this year will not push through for peanuts
but now that its gonna push through, i see where pac is coming from. he didn't wanna be taken as a chump and showed people that arum works for him, not vice versa. imo, he deserved to ask for the bigger share on that fight cause his legacy is on the line.
the promoters are the ones who almost killed this fight.Comment
