I doubt Margarito would agree to fight at a weight that would bother him. Making 145 wont actually make him a smaller fighter, he would still have a ridiculous physical advantage over Pacquiao.
My bet is this fight never happens, its probably more about luring out Mayweather, or leverage for big fights down the road.

It would be an advantage for Pacquiao to pursue a fight with Margarito at a catchweight. Will he do it is a entirely different story.

Pacquiao has always been a glory fighter not a business fighter. If he's going to fight Margarito it will be for his belt or nothing at all. Pacquiao wants nothing more than to be only fighter in history to have lineal belts in 5 weightclasses and only the 2nd fighter in history to have hardware in 6. Pacquiao dont care as much about getting paid millions of dollars as he does becoming one of the top 5 greatest fighters ever and being the greatest hero of his country.
