Margarito Makes Weight; Mosley Gets It Right On Second Try

Margarito is really low, he hasn't been this low since the Williams fight where he turned in a relatively flat performance by his standards, wonder if it will affect him in the fight, the DLH and Byrd 'incidents' are still in my mind where they weighed in a few pounds below their divisions' weight limits and looked horrible in the fight,

Reminds me of the 1st SRL vs Hearns fight, Hearns was taller yet came in too light (surprisingly at 145 too!).

Marg can win ths one, but looking at what has being happenning around boxing lately, I wouldnt be surprise if an upset happens......if that happens that will turn everything around thou....

Marg is not old and he hasnt been fighting at middleweight so him coming in at 145 only means he is in dynamite shape. I have a feeling he is going to torture sugar shane I hope not wouldnt want to see mosley go out that way.

It wasn't 145 it was 145.8, which is basically 146 or what used to be reported as 145 3/4. He didn't need to be this light, but he was and I doubt it affects his performance. If it does then he'll know not to do it again.

Maybe he's trying to prove that he belongs at 147, but I don't understand why he won't just go up to 154/160. If he wins two more fights he'll have done what he needed to do at 147 and in this day and age you want to win titles in multiple divisions if you want to be considered an all-time great. By next year there'll be some good fights at 154 and possibly even 160. Margarito should really move up in weight soon.
